This policy is written for users in Bosnia and Herzegovina and other Balkan countries. We follow the Personal Data Protection Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina and align our practices with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is the main privacy standard in Europe.
1. What data we collect
- Account data you give us: email, username, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and optionally your name and phone number.
- Profile and content data: your bio, links, skills, and the ideas, posts, comments, and messages you create.
- Technical data needed to run the service: basic log and device information, and tokens stored in your browser to keep you signed in.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to create and run your account, show your content to others, deliver notifications and messages, keep the platform secure, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Legal basis for processing
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), on the basis of your consent (for example optional emails), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the platform safe and working. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time.
4. Public content
Projekti.ba is a platform for sharing ideas publicly. Your username, profile, and anything you post publicly can be seen by other users and visitors. Please think about what you choose to make public.
5. Sharing with others
We share data with service providers who help us host and operate the platform, and only as needed for them to do that work. We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the platform.
6. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where we must keep some of it to meet a legal obligation or to resolve disputes.
7. Your rights
Under data protection law aligned with the GDPR, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the in app bug report and feedback tools. You also have the right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, or to the data protection authority in your country.
8. Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser local storage for things that are necessary to run the app, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your theme choice.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords and encrypted connections. No online service can be perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Projekti.ba is not intended for people under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
